Entry-Level Hardscaper & Drone Operator
Learn hardscape construction on the CJ Pickering crew, and film and photograph our projects with a DJI drone for the company’s marketing.
About the Role
CJ Pickering Enterprises is hiring an entry-level hardscaper who is also skilled with a DJI drone. You will work on the crew that builds patios, walkways, retaining walls, pool decks and driveways, and you will film and photograph that work for our marketing.
This is an entry-level position, so hardscape experience is welcome but not required. What we do need is someone who can already fly a DJI drone well and capture strong video and photos with it.
What You Will Do
- Work alongside the crew on patios, walkways, retaining walls, pool decks and driveways
- Help with site preparation, base work, laying and cutting pavers and stone, and job site clean-up
- Film projects with a DJI drone before, during and after construction
- Shoot aerial video and still photos for the website, social media and other marketing
What We Are Looking For
- Experience flying a DJI drone and shooting both video and still photography with it
- Willingness to learn hardscape construction from the ground up
- Comfortable with physical, outdoor work
Nice to Have
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, or willingness to earn one (the FAA requires it for drone flights made for a business)
- Examples of drone video or photos you have shot
- Experience editing video or photos
- Experience in landscaping, masonry or construction
