Waterfront Pool & Outdoor Living Retreat in Buzzards Bay, MA

This Buzzards Bay waterfront property offers several ways to spend the day outdoors. A broad paver pool deck surrounds the rectangular pool and inset spa, with lounge chairs arranged along the water. Beside it, an open pavilion shelters a built-in outdoor kitchen. CJ Pickering built the pool deck, the outdoor kitchen under the pavilion, the poolside fire features, the waterfront fire pit, the front stone walkways, and the landscape lighting, and handled the site work, from the driveway and lawn to clearing the overgrowth at the water's edge.

The hardscape continues beyond the pool enclosure. Paved walks, steps, and stepping-stone paths connect the buildings, terraces, and lawn. Near the waterfront, Adirondack chairs gather around a round stone fire pit on a grass-jointed paver terrace. Set apart from the poolside activity, this seating area opens toward the harbor and sunset.

After dark, the property takes on a different character. Fire-and-water bowls spill into the illuminated pool from stone-faced pedestals, while fountains add movement across the water. Lighting beneath the pavilion, along the walks, and around the planting beds carries the evening setting from the pool terrace to the house.

Materials & Details

Light-gray paving and darker borders define the pool terrace and connecting walks. Stone-faced walls and kitchen cabinetry surrounds add texture beside the clean lines of the paving. Dark countertops, broad steps, planted edges, and lawn joints distinguish the individual gathering areas while repeating materials throughout the property.
